Project Preparation Facility - Process - 1. Application

Project Preparation Facility (PPF) applications are developed by the AE or PSAA applicant and submitted to the Secretariat for interdepartmental review.

Submitted documents include:

• Concept note (to be reviewed and endorsed by the GCF regional department)
• PPF application
• No objection letter for PPF from the NDA or focal point
• Terms of References for activities
• Budget (applicable to PPF Funding)
• Procurement plan (applicable to PPF Funding)
• Financial management and capacity assessments of sub-grantees (applicable to PPF Funding)
• Sanctions compliance processes (applicable to any project implemented in countries subject to United Nations Security Sanctions)
• PPF Application and Deliverables Completeness Self-Check
• Upon the endorsement of the concept note by the Regional Director, and satisfactory interdepartmental review of the PPF application, the Secretariat would proceed with the approval of the project preparation request.
