What we offer to staff

At GCF, we offer rewarding and challenging work with skilled and supportive colleagues, opportunities for learning and development, competitive base salaries, and a comprehensive benefits package that includes worldwide medical insurance, leave, a retirement savings scheme, and dependency benefits.

Salary

GCF combines a challenging career with a rewarding benefits package. Each staff member is given a base salary reflecting the key areas of responsibility, job characteristics, and the staff member's profile. As per GCF's Headquarters Agreement, all staff salaries are exempt from tax in the Republic of Korea.

Benefits

GCF’s benefit programmes are an integral part of the compensation framework and strategy, designed to meet the challenges of the growing global competition for talent. These programmes are established to provide a framework of sufficiency for staff members and their dependents.

  • Health and other insurances
All staff members and their eligible dependents are covered by a comprehensive worldwide health insurance programme.
  • Provident Fund
GCF provides a retirement savings scheme for eligible staff members. GCF and eligible staff members contribute towards the provident fund.
  • Paid leave and holidays
All GCF staff receive 26 annual leave days, 15 sick leave days, 10 development leave days, and observe nine public holidays each calendar year.
  • Dependent benefits
GCF provides dependent benefits to the eligible dependent(s) of the staff members including spouse allowance, child allowance, and childcare support.

Additional benefits for staff members recruited outside the duty station

In addition to those listed above, staff members who are recruited outside the duty station may also be eligible for the following benefits provided they meet the eligibility criteria set by GCF:

  • Relocation benefits
Settlement allowance, flight tickets, and shipment benefits are provided to eligible staff members and their eligible dependents, based on the Staff Regulations and Staff Rules, and GCF's travel policy, together with assistance on visa issuance. Practical assistance for housing and other facilities is also provided.
  • Housing allowance
GCF provides an allowance to help the eligible staff members meet their living costs.
  • Education assistance and education travel
GCF provides education assistance for eligible dependent children. Should a child be enrolled in an institution outside the duty station, education travel assistance is provided to help the family reunite.
