Virtual Stakeholder Consultation on the development of the GCF’s new ESS – Stage 3: Proposed full draft

The Green Climate Fund (GCF) Secretariat announced a Call for Public Inputs for the third stage of the development of the GCF’s ESS on 6 October 2022. The full draft is annexed to the Call for Inputs. The red line version of the Standards is also available here.

The development of the ESS is taking place in 3 stages. During the first stage, a scoping report was produced and informed by stakeholder consultation, including a stakeholder event. Stage 2 involved the initial drafting of the ESS standards with the proposed new structure and contents. Stage 3 presents a full draft of the proposed standards, for stakeholder consultation.

As part of the third stage, the GCF Secretariat is organizing a virtual Stakeholder Consultation, to be held on 8 December at 21:00-23:00 hrs KST. This is the third in a series of events forming part of the stakeholder consultation on GCF’s ESS. It will provide a platform for discussion on the proposed ESS standards.
