The GCF Secretariat is pleased to invite all interested organizations and entities to provide inputs to the third stage of the development of the GCF’s Environmental and Social Safeguards standards.

Inputs are welcome on the full draft of the proposed ESS standards (appended to this call). This input will inform the revised full draft to be sent for GCF Board consultation. At the request of numerous stakeholders, a “red line” version is also available here, showing the proposed changes based on the IFC Performance Standards and the outline shared for consultation during Stage 2.

The deadline for submissions is 27 November 2022 at 23:59 Korean Standard Time. Please note that this is an extended period; it will not be possible to consider inputs submitted after the deadline.

Official submission of inputs on behalf of an organization or group of organizations in Microsoft Word format should be sent via email as one document with the subject line "Call for Public Inputs: development of the GCF’s ESS Stage 3" to [email protected]

The official submission should clearly indicate:

1. Full Name;
2. Title/Position;
3. Organization/Affiliation;
4. Contact details including telephone and e-mail address; and
5. Organization’s Focal Point (name, surname and position).

Submissions should indicate whether the inputs are provided on behalf of an organization or a group of organizations. In the case where the inputs are provided on behalf of an organization, the list of organizations should be included in the official submission of inputs.
