Argentina REDD-plus RBP for results period 2014-2016
Argentina REDD-plus RBP for results period 2014-2016
Recognising Argentina's REDD+ results for the years 2014, 2015, 2016.
During these years, Argentina has reduced 18.73 million tonnes of carbon dioxide equivalent (MtCO₂eq) in emissions through reducing deforestation.
The Results Based Payments will be reinvested to deepen implementation of Argentina’s ambitious National Action Plan on Forests and Climate Change and will support the enforcement of Argentina’s Forest Law. The Forest Law provides a mandate for provincial Territorial Planning and incentives for forest conservation and rehabilitation, working closely with stakeholders.
