Overview

Timor-Leste suffers from high rates of deforestation and forest degradation. This is coupled with increased vulnerability to climate impacts that pose a significant challenge to vulnerable communities' livelihoods.

This project aims to promote community-based sustainable natural resource management to decrease deforestation and forest degradation. As well as reducing carbon emissions, this project will enhance the food security of small-scale farmers who make up 80 percent of the population.
