Strengthening DAEs’ financial reporting and fiduciary excellence for GCF-funded activities
Virtual, 6:00 PM – 7:30 PM Korea Standard Time (KST)
10 November 2025
The Green Climate Fund is hosting an interactive training session titled “Strengthening DAEs’ Financial Reporting and Fiduciary Excellence for GCF-Funded Activities.” The session aims to help Direct Access Entities (DAEs) and National Designated Authorities (NDAs) improve the accuracy, quality, and timeliness of their financial reporting. Correct financial reporting is essential, as incomplete or inaccurate submissions can delay future disbursements or even lead to repayment of previously released funds.
This training will provide practical guidance to strengthen institutional capacity in preparing semi-annual, annual, audited, and final financial reports that meet GCF fiduciary standards. Participants will gain a clear understanding of how financial information links to project implementation and disbursement processes, as well as how to ensure transparency, accountability, and alignment with approved budgets. Common reporting questions will be addressed, including requirements for audited statements, treatment of periods with no activities, and expected levels of audit assurance.
The session will include a short presentation followed by an interactive discussion and Q&A to exchange experiences and clarify specific issues. It aims to prepare DAEs for the upcoming FY2025 reporting cycle, reduce review rounds, and promote efficient disbursement processes. NDAs are also encouraged to join to strengthen their understanding of GCF’s financial reporting standards and support country-level knowledge sharing.
