24th meeting of the Conference of the Parties (COP24)

The 24th Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change, or COP24, will be held from 3-14 December 2018 at Katowice, Poland. One of the most important tasks of this year's conference is to adopt a package of decisions ensuring the full implementation of the Paris Agreement. The event will likewise include facilitative dialogues intended to support the implementation of national commitments.

GCF is part of the financial mechanism of the UNFCCC and serves the Paris Agreement. The Fund reports its activities to the Conference of the Parties, which in turn provides GCF with guidance on its operations.

Climate finance is critical to combating climate change, and GCF has a key role to play. GCF has recently launched its first replenishment process, and you can find out more on our replenishment website.
