The National Committee for Sub-National Democratic Development (NCDD) seeks to strengthen its institutional capacity and accreditation functions to support the planning, development, and implementation of Cambodia’s climate priorities. As a Direct Access Entity, NCDD plays a key role in advancing climate action at the sub-national level, and this readiness project will enhance its ability to manage climate finance effectively through strengthened policies, procedures, systems, and staff capacity.

The Readiness grant will support the development of a pipeline of bankable climate projects, improve project implementation, monitoring, and data management systems, and establish mechanisms for adaptive management and continuous learning. It will also promote peer-to-peer knowledge exchange to strengthen future climate finance programming and implementation, contributing to Cambodia’s efforts to meet its national and international climate commitments.
