The primary purpose of this Readiness Proposal is to determine the Climate Information and Services (CIS) needs of policy developers, planners, and decision makers in a vulnerable Pacific Island Small Island Developing State (SIDS), Vanuatu.In doing so the Proposal will allow for tailoring of the delivery of climate and weather information and services for the issues and sectors most in need.

Information gathered from this Readiness Funding request will allow for the completion of the Full GCF Proposal entitled: Pacific Climate Adaptation Policy and Planning Support through Applied Climate Information Services (Pac CLIM APPS), which aims to develop integrated, fit-for-purpose, climate information to support climate resilient development in Pacific Island Countries.
