After five years of effort, starting in 2012, Malaysia has completed four key elements of the REDD+ readiness process: a national strategy, reference level, national forest monitoring system, and a first summary of information on safeguards. This proposal is to support the country’s transition into the third phase of REDD+, i.e. full implementation and result-based payments.
