The Semi-Annual Financial Report (SAFR) supports the monitoring of GCF-funded activities and is submitted by Accredited Entities (AEs) in accordance with the provisions of the Accredited Master Agreement (AMA) and the relevant Funded Activity Agreement(s) (FAA) for each approved project or programme.
The SAFR supports GCF’s requirements for financial management, external audit, and Expected Credit Loss (ECL) calculations, and covers both financial risk monitoring and financial reporting data requirements.
Reporting on Grant projects and mixed instrument projects with a Grant component will support the Secretariat's portfolio monitoring concerning financial progress, disbursement forecast and overall project progress against FP timelines. Reporting is to be in line with the budget/activity structure of Board approved FP.
Accredited Entities are required to complete and submit the SAFR for each Funded Activity, in line with the applicable financial instrument(s).
