Webinar on the 2025 Semi Annual Financial Report (SAFR) Template

Following extensive internal coordination and feedback from key stakeholders, Green Climate Fund held a webinar to present the introduction of a consolidated semi-annual financial reporting approach for Accredited Entities (AEs).

The session explained how GCF will streamline financial reporting by consolidating multiple departmental requests into a single semi-annual financial reporting process, complemented by a separate, project-specific financial information request aligned with the Annual Performance Report (APR) cycle.

This webinar formed part of GCF’s ongoing efforts to enhance reporting efficiency, consistency, and data quality.

What was covered

The webinar outlined the scope and key features of the new reporting approach, including:

• The rationale for consolidating financial reporting requirements into a single semi-annual request;
• How the new approach reduces duplication by integrating financial risk monitoring and financial reporting data requirements;
• How the semi-annual reporting supports GCF’s financial management, external audit, and Expected Credit Loss (ECL) calculations;

The session also highlighted how the consolidated approach will serve as the single authoritative source for financial reporting submitted to GCF.

Support and clarification session

The webinar included an overview of the updated Semi-Annual Financial Report (SAFR) template, key changes from previous reporting cycles, and guidance on submission timelines and data expectations. Participants were also able to raise questions during a live Q&A session.

To accommodate different regions, the webinar was delivered in two sessions on Tuesday, 16 December 2025:

Session 1
• 8:00–9:00 AM (Korea Standard Time)
• For AEs based in the Pacific, Asia, and Latin America and the Caribbean (LAC)

Session 2
• 6:00–7:00 PM (Korea Standard Time)
• For AEs based in Asia, Eastern Europe and Central Asia, and Africa
