Readiness and Preparatory Support Guidebook: Accessing the Readiness and Preparatory Support Programme of the Green Climate Fund

The GCF Readiness and Preparatory Support Programme (the Readiness Programme) is designed to support countries’ engagement with the GCF, the building of a pipeline of climate change projects, and enhance country ownership. Resources may be provided in the form of grants or technical assistance. All developing country parties to the UNFCCC can access the Readiness Programme. The GCF aims for a floor of 50 per cent of the Readiness Support allocation to particularly vulnerable countries, including least developed countries (LDCs), small island developing States (SIDS), and African States.

This guidebook provides an overview of the process and documentation involved in requesting for readiness support.
