Developed under the leadership of Jordan’s NDA, the Ministry of Environment, this Readiness Proposal is designed to build upon and add value to the July 2017 Readiness Program being implemented by UNEP, and the April 2018 Readiness Program being implemented by GGGI. The primary project beneficiaries are the NDA, MoENV and CVDB. Their partnership and coordination will be strengthened and knowledge and capacity on accessing international climate funds and developing climate change projects will be improved. The secondary project beneficiaries are the NCCC, private sector and focal line ministries which will be included and/or targeted in readiness activities to enhance their project development capacity and strengthen engagement with the NDA, creating the foundation for sustainable climate action in Jordan.
