Overview
The primary objectives of this Headquarters Agreement are to set out the legal status of the Fund and of the persons associated with it, in addition to the provisions of the Governing Instrument, to allow the Fund to perform its functions efficiently and effectively and to operate internationally, and to allow the officials of the Fund to independently exercise their official functions in the Host Country.
This Headquarters Agreement shall be interpreted in the light of these primary objectives and in a manner consistent with the Governing Instrument, to enable the Fund to fully discharge its responsibilities. The parties acknowledge that they will exercise their rights and obligations under this Headquarters Agreement consistent with the aforementioned primary objectives of this Agreement.
