The Readiness support seeks to strengthen the country’s capacity to implement its updated NDC 3.0 by establishing the institutional, analytical, and coordination mechanisms needed to translate climate commitments into investment-ready actions. Led by the NDA and implemented by GGGI, the project will support climate planning, carbon market readiness, NDC tracking, investment prioritization, and capacity building for key national institutions. By addressing gaps in coordination, oversight, and climate finance planning, the proposal will help Morocco mobilize climate finance, enhance implementation of its climate goals, and strengthen its readiness for future NDC updates and international carbon market engagement.
