The Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) is an entity headquartered in Japan with a strong global presence. The applicant has been providing financial and technical support to climate change mitigation and adaptation projects, focusing on energy efficiency, renewable energy, public transport systems, stable water supply, climate‐ resilient agriculture, sustainable forest management, disaster risk reduction and coastal protection. Building upon international best practices, JICA aims to make the best use of Japanese knowledge, experience and technologies in driving a paradigm shift towards a low‐ carbon and climate‐resilient society in developing countries.
