ACTED (ACTED) is an international non-governmental organization, headquartered in Paris with offices in 43 countries of operation across Africa, Asia, Eastern Europe and Central Asia, Latin America and the Caribbean and the Middle East. ACTED's mission is to save lives and support vulnerable communities in hard-to-reach areas, working toward a world with zero carbon, zero exclusion, and zero poverty. With a triple mandate - humanitarian, environmental protection, and development assistance - ACTED supports relief, stabilization, and recovery efforts in fragile and crisis-affected people and regions. Its work spans nine key thematic areas, including collaborative and resilient ecosystem management, citizen-driven climate action, sustainable infrastructure, circular economy and humanitarian response.
By partnering with GCF, ACTED leverages its extensive experience in climate-change adaptation in the most vulnerable, climate-affected countries and to utilize its network of country offices and local staff to contribute to climate mitigation and climate adaptation balance. More specifically, ACTED will closely coordinate with the national designated authorities to support their nationally determined contributions, national adaptation plan and long-term goals.
