From 14 April  and 2 May 2026 the Green Climate Fund (GCF) Secretariat will open a call for written feedback and convene virtual consultation with Accredited Entities (AEs), National Designated Authorities (NDAs), focal points, Indigenous Peoples Advisory Group (IPAG), Accredited Observers, UNFCCC and partner Multilateral Climate Funds, civil society, Independent thinktanks and other partners on the draft update to the Green Climate Fund’s next Gender Action Plan (GAP). These consultations form part of an inclusive and transparent process allowing for the consideration of relevant stakeholder feedback before the draft GAP is submitted for Board consideration at the 45th Board meeting of GCF in June 2026.

The consultations aim to:

  • Present the proposed draft Gender Action Plan 2026-2031 and invite the participants’ insights, recommendations and reactions; and
  • Gather written inputs from stakeholders on the draft GAP to inform further refinement of the document

The consultations will be in two components:

  1. Submission of  written inputs on the draft Gender Action Plan
  2. Interactive virtual webinar sessions for each stakeholder group to enable broad regional participation, with live captioning available in multiple languages.

Official submissions submitted on behalf of an organization or coalition of organizations must be provided in Microsoft Word format, using the response matrix circulated with the invitation. Completed submissions should be sent by email as an attachment, with the subject line: “Call for Public Inputs: Draft Green Climate Fund Gender Action Plan,” to CSIO.FO.Sustainability@gcfund.org between 14 April and 2 May 2026.

By invitation only.
