Senegal climate resilience receives a boost with funding agreement

GCF has signed an agreement with Senegal's Centre de Suivi Écologique (CSE) to enhance the ability of local populations to deal with increasing soil salinisation caused by climate change. The signing of the Funded Activity Agreement (FAA) allows for this GCF Board-approved USD 8.2 million project to begin implementation. Planned activities by CSE, a Senegalese environmental monitoring centre, include strengthening the country’s ability to mainstream climate change into land management plans.
