Quick funds for climate-resilient food security in Micronesia

GCF has disbursed the first tranche of funds to its project partner Micronesia Conservation Trust to support adaptation action in the Federated States of Micronesia. Approved by the Board in March this year, the project has moved ahead rapidly and funds have now been released to start action on the ground. This is an example of how GCF is increasing its operational speed. With under 200 days passing between initial approval and the transfer of funds this is the fastest project to date within a Small Island Developing State, which are amongst the most vulnerable countries to climate change.
