The objective of the project is to improve sustainable management of forests and protected areas and increase benefits to communities from forests in target landscapes. The project will support the government agenda of increasing forest cover through afforestation and reforestation and slowing down the loss and degradation of Uganda’s forests. The project will combine investments in forest management in state- and community-managed lands and will focus on improving the management of forests, increasing revenues for sustaining forests and supporting resilient livelihoods.
