With assistance of the project, Uzhydromet, which performed functions of NDA at that moment, established the NDA Secretariat and online information platform, developed no-objection procedure and project prioritization tools, built a pipeline of national projects and initiated formulation of project proposals to GCF. However, due to recent changes in the structure of the government, the Ministry of Investments and Foreign Trade (MIFT) has been assigned as NDA to GCF by the government of Uzbekistan in October 2019. This request seeks funding for strengthening the capacity of newly appointed NDA and ensuring access to GCF funds.
