The initial phase of the Readiness and Preparatory Support Programme will focus on (i): Strengthening country capacities in relation to the GCF (outcome 1), (ii) Engaging stakeholders in consultative processes (outcome 2), (iii) Realizing direct access (outcome 3).

As a result of the readiness programme activities it is expected that the institutional capacities of the NFP are built to effectively fulfill its roles and responsibilities in relation to the Fund. The programme will also facilitate, through a multi stakeholder engagement process, the development of a country programme including Serbia’s development priorities with respect to the Green Climate Fund, consistent with the country’s national environmental, waste management, industrial, agricultural and energy strategies, as well as the Fund’s Initial results management framework. The programme will help establish a mechanism to facilitate the communication of nominations of prospective public and private sector entities seeking accreditation with the Fund.
