GCF/B.42/04: Accreditation matters
The reform package aims to streamline GCF accreditation process as a fit for purpose institutional due diligence mechanism and aligns accreditation with GCF's current strategic objectives. It streamlines the accreditation process for efficiency and fairness, inclusivity, country ownership, accountability and risk management. This reform aims to expand the GCF partner network, particularly by national direct access entities. Pursuant to decision B.40/15, the reform is introduced as a comprehensive package comprising of a revised accreditation framework, screening requirements, updated fees policy, updated monitoring
and accountability framework, a fit-for-purpose approach to legal arrangements, and a policy coherence analysis.
