The approved Readiness support will strengthen Tajikistan’s newly accredited Direct Access Entity, CIIP, by enhancing its institutional systems, staff capacities, and ability to manage GCF-funded projects. It will help CIIP maintain GCF accreditation standards and improve access to climate finance to support national climate priorities.
The proposal will also promote knowledge-sharing and South–South cooperation through engagement with other DAEs. Expected results include stronger institutional capacity, improved project implementation and reporting systems, and enhanced readiness to develop and deliver climate-resilient, low-emission investments in Tajikistan.
