The objective of the Readiness support is to enable CEF to perform the roles of a DAE by building the entity’s capacities and experience in designing, implementing, managing, monitoring, and evaluating low-carbon, climate-resilient investments.
The Readiness support seeks to address the following needs:
- CEF requires technical assistance to update the entity’s policies, procedures and systems to meet GCF accreditation requirements.
- CEF requires technical assistance to assess and build its capacities for the development,
implementation, monitoring and evaluation of projects financed by international sources of climate finance, including GCF. - CEF requires technical assistance for the development of a programme on low-carbon, climate resilient cities in Brazil that meets the requirements for approval by GCF.
