Overview
This readiness action plan will decisively support the Colombian government in order to enter the implementation phase of its National Adaptation Plan (PNACC) in the context of the mandate to build a resilience economy given by the National Development Plan and the adaptation actions presented in the country NDC. It is important to highlight that this funding will help the Colombian government and in particular the PNACC steering committee that is integrated by the National Planning Department (DNP), the Environment Ministry (MADS), the National Disaster Risk Management Unit (UNGRD) and the Colombian Institute for Environmental and Hidrometeorological Studies (IDEAM), to address important knowledge gaps and to build capacities in order to plan, prioritize, implement, monitor and evaluate the effectiveness and impact of adaptation interventions. This will result in the consolidation of the PNACC´s implementation work plan, as an input for the formulation of a CONPES document on Adaptation to Climate Change for Colombia.
