GCF Regional Dialogue with West and South Africa

The Regional Dialogue will bring together government representatives, Accredited Entities, Delivery Partners, and regional stakeholders for strategic discussions on GCF programming, readiness support, and climate finance access across West and Central Africa.
Over the four days, participants will engage in technical sessions highlighting sustainable financing structures for public and private sector projects and GCF support for public-private partnerships. The sessions will present emerging initiatives and investment opportunities supporting priority sectors such as urban resilience, low-emission transport, food security, clean energy, and ecosystem services. The Dialogue will also include dedicated sessions on readiness planning, focusing on needs assessment approaches and quality requirements for readiness proposals.
Furthermore, the programme will feature in-depth workshops on the appraisal of funding proposals, the accreditation process of Ministries of Finance, and capacity-building sessions aimed at supporting GCF National Designated Authorities in fulfilling their coordination and stakeholder convening roles.
