GCF in Bangladesh: Enhancing the climate resilience of remote char communities
In Northern Bangladesh, communities live on ever-changing river islands locally known as chars. Over the years, these char communities have faced floods and land erosion, now increasing in frequency and destructive strength because of climate change. With support from GCF, PKSF and local partners empower these communities through a project that delivered raised homestead plinths, safe water, and resilient farming techniques to secure their future.
