Overview
People in Need (PIN) is an international non-governmental organization headquartered in Prague, Czech Republic, operating in 21 countries with experience across Africa, Asia, Europe and the Middle East. PIN delivers humanitarian and development programmes for vulnerable communities, including in livelihoods, WASH, education, protection and climate resilience, while promoting green growth, circular economy approaches and emissions reduction.
PIN works with international bodies, development organizations, national authorities and donors, guided by its institutional Partnership Strategy. PIN is active in networks such as Alliance2015, the Core Humanitarian Standard Alliance and the Start Network, and combines emergency assistance with longer-term recovery, resilience and sustainable resource management in fragile and climate-vulnerable contexts.
PIN’s climate programming is aligned with partner countries’ nationally determined contributions and national adaptation plans. Building on climate resilience as a core programmatic pillar, PIN aims to support climate-resilient landscapes, smart energy solutions, food and water security, community livelihoods and energy access, using its advisory capacity and operational greening practices to deliver climate-responsive programmes.
