Karandaaz Pakistan

Karandaaz Pakistan is a national organization that promotes financial inclusion through investment, digital financial services, innovation, technical assistance and research. Karandaaz works across Pakistan with regulators, policymakers, government departments, financial institutions, businesses and academic stakeholders, supporting enterprise growth, digital finance, financial-sector development and access to capital for underserved businesses and individuals.

Karandaaz has identified green investment and climate finance as strategic priorities under the organization’s institutional strategy. In alignment with Pakistan’s nationally determined contribution and national adaptation plan, Karandaaz will provide a strong foundation for financing climate-focused businesses across  renewable energy, energy efficiency, sustainable transport, climate-smart agriculture and sustainable forestry and resource-efficient development.

Through engagement with GCF, Karandaaz aims to expand access to climate finance for small and medium-sized enterprises and support innovative climate solutions in Pakistan. Combining investment capital with digital delivery, financing and technical assistance, Karandaaz seeks to mobilize private capital, deepen local financial markets and reduce investment risks. Its inclusive finance approach also supports low-emission and climate-resilient development while broadening opportunities for underserved businesses and communities.
