Development Bank of Kazakhstan JSC (DBK) is a national development institution and a bank authorized to implement the state investment policy Headquartered in Astana, Kazakhstan, DBK’s mission is to promote sustainable development of the non-resource sector and build infrastructure that supports Kazakhstan’s economic growth. DBK focuses on improving the effectiveness of state investments, developing production infrastructure, and attracting domestic and foreign investment to strengthen the country’s economy.

DBK concentrates its activities on supporting medium and large businesses in manufacturing and financing key infrastructure projects. The bank plays a central role in promoting energy efficiency, modernizing infrastructure, and developing the agro-industry sector, aligning its operations with Kazakhstan’s national climate and sustainable development priorities.

Looking ahead, DBK aims to leverage GCF resources to develop programmes in the areas of renewable energy, energy efficiency, infrastructure, transport, water security, agriculture and food security.
