Overview
Catholic Relief Services – United States Conference of Catholic Bishops (CRS) is a humanitarian and development organization that supports vulnerable communities through relief, recovery, and resilience programming worldwide. Operating in more than 87 countries and territories through a broad network of local partners, civil society organizations, faith-based institutions, and government entities, CRS implements programmes focused on poverty reduction, humanitarian assistance, and sustainable development.
CRS intends to expand climate adaptation and resilience programming focused on vulnerable communities, particularly in fragile and conflict-affected contexts. By partnering with GCF, CRS aims to scale community- and landscape-level climate resilience interventions through strengthened use of climate information, early warning systems, and partnerships with governments, local stakeholders, and the private sector to support long-term resilience and systems-level change.
