Banco de Comercio Exterior de Colombia S.A. (Bancóldex) is a national direct access entity based in Colombia. As a state-owned entrepreneurial development bank, Bancóldex aims to boost economic development through the support of micro, small and medium enterprises  (MSME) productivity, export enhancement, and promoting sustainability, partnering with both Colombian businesses and financial intermediaries. The bank manages financial assets, develops financial access solutions and mobilizes capital for business productivity and sustainability. Furthermore, it encourages environmental sustainability, financial sustainability and social responsibility and has developed various green financial products to boost investment in environmental sustainability and combating climate change.

With GCF, Bancóldex intends to continue its endeavor to channel resources to MSMEs and large companies for climate mitigation and adaptation projects including on natural resources management, sustainable transportation, sustainable construction and green infrastructure, renewable energy and energy efficiency. Bancóldex also aims to continue to utilize its various green financial instruments to catalyze investments from the private sector to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and support climate change adaptation measures.
