Overview
Agence de Promotion des Investissements Agricoles (APIA) is a non-administrative public institution headquartered in Tunis, Tunisia, with 24 regional offices. It is mandated to promote private investment in agriculture, fishing, and associated services and products. APIA’s mission focuses on modernizing production methods, identifying investment opportunities, facilitating joint ventures, offering financial incentives, and providing training to young investors to enhance the quality and export potential of Tunisia’s agricultural products.
APIA manages a centralized investor relations office and operates a digital platform to disseminate information on investment opportunities and partnership offers. By fostering collaboration between private investors and the public sector, the agency plays a critical role in strengthening the national agricultural economy and attracting sustainable investment projects across Tunisia.
APIA has also prioritized addressing climate change, aligning its activities with Tunisia’s national adaptation and mitigation strategies. With the accreditation to the GCF, APIA plans to expand financing for climate change mitigation and adaptation projects, mobilizing resources for high-impact private sector initiatives, and promote green growth and sustainable development in the agriculture and fishing sectors.
