GCF Board meets to consider new climate finance commitments ahead of crucial COP30 conference
The Green Climate Fund (GCF) will hold its 43rd Board meeting (B.43) in Songdo, Incheon, Republic of Korea, from 27 to 30 October 2025. The Board will hold its third and last meeting of the year just two weeks before the COP30 conference and consider proposals for new climate finance to developing countries. Twenty-four climate projects have been submitted for consideration, amounting to USD 1.4 billion in potential GCF funding.
The proposed projects include investments to support adaptation and mitigation action across all regions of GCF’s operations. The Board will also consider the accreditation of five new organisations as GCF project implementing partners. All are national organisations established within developing countries.
Other items on the agenda will include the review of recent evaluations by the Independent Evaluation Unit and of the policy on restructuring, as well as consideration of the Secretariat’s work programme and budget.
Participants, including observers from civil society and private sector organisations, National Designated Authorities (NDAs), Accredited Entities, and other partners who support delivering climate finance to developing countries, will attend the B. 43 meeting.
The four-day meeting is live-streamed on the GCF website. For more information on the meeting and to follow the proceedings, see the Boardroom page or follow #GCFB43 on GCF’s social media channels.
