Virtual consultation sessions on the GCF’s Locally Led Climate Action framework and guidelines

The Green Climate Fund (GCF) will convene a follow-up virtual consultation session with accredited observers on the draft Locally Led Climate Action (LLCA) Framework and Guidelines. Building on the initial consultation held earlier in September, this session is part of a phased, participatory process aimed at enhancing the quality, relevance, and inclusivity of the draft guidance.

The consultation is designed to ensure that observers, including those who were unable to participate in the first session, have an opportunity to share their perspectives, reflections and recommendations on how GCF can better support locally led approaches in its programming.  

This process reflects GCF’s commitment to co-developing guidance that incorporates diverse experiences and knowledge systems, thereby strengthening its responsiveness to local realities. Inputs gathered during this session will directly inform the next iteration of the LLCA guidelines, which are expected to be finalized later this year. 

Two consultation sessions will be conducted in English with live captioning in several languages, allowing for broad participation from accredited observer organizations of the GCF across regions.   

Session 1: 8:00–9:15 AM KST, Thursday, 18 September 2025
Intended for participants based in Latin America and the Caribbean, and Asia-Pacific.

Session 2: 6:00–7:15 PM KST, Thursday, 18 September 2025
Intended for participants based in Africa, Asia Pacific, Eastern Europe, Central Asia and the Middle East.
