The Green Climate Fund (GCF), in partnership with the Government of Malaysia, will convene the GCF Global Conference with Indigenous Peoples from 8-10 April 2026 in Incheon, Republic of Korea.

Guided by the GCF Indigenous Peoples Advisory Group, the conference will bring together Indigenous Peoples, National Designated Authorities (NDAs) and Accredited Entities to strengthen multi-stakeholder collaboration and deepen understanding of GCF’s engagement with Indigenous Peoples.

The three-day conference will provide a platform to:

Share experiences and lessons learned from GCF-financed projects and readiness activities involving Indigenous Peoples;

Explore Indigenous-led responses and knowledge systems as critical contributions to global climate action;

Exchange on evolving practices and innovations in climate finance access and its implementation, with a focus on enhancing direct financing for Indigenous Peoples;

Facilitate dialogue on how GCF can further improve its policies, programming and partnerships with Indigenous Peoples.

Participants will have the opportunity to engage through high-level plenaries, thematic sessions, open discussions, and regional breakouts. The conference will also include opportunities for practical sessions, bilateral meetings, side events, and showcasing of Indigenous-led climate solutions.

The outcomes of the conference will help inform GCF’s ongoing efforts to strengthen the operationalization of its Indigenous Peoples Policy and advance inclusive, locally led approaches to climate action.

By invitation only.
