Sustainable Adaptation for Healthcare Advancement in the MENA Region (SAHA)
Pathfinder International submitted the concept note (CN) for the project Sustainable Adaptation for Healthcare Advancement in the MENA Region (SAHA) under the PSAA mechanism, with endorsement from the National Designated Authority (NDA) in each of the five participating countries (Oman, Jordan, Egypt, Lebanon, and Iraq). The CN received CIC2 endorsement from the GCF Secretariat to develop a Funding Proposal (FP) on March 20, 2025. Pathfinder requested PPF funding to support FP development and was invited by the GCF Secretariat to apply. In addition to the USD $1,103,784 requested from GCF, Pathfinder will provide USD $287,500 of in-kind co-financing.
Given the limited availability of baseline and contextual data regarding, climate change impacts on the health sector in each of the five countries, as well as the high level of engagement required to coordinate a multi-country project such as SAHA, PPF funding is needed to ensure effective FP development
