Overview

The project development objective is to strengthen the capacity and accelerate the efforts of African countries on resource mobilization for projects to reduce emissions from deforestation and forest degradation, and to conserve and sustainably manage the continent's forest resources. This is in application of the ‘Abidjan Resolution on REDD+ in Africa', adopted by African REDD+ experts, GCF accredited entities, civil society and private sector representatives during the international REDD+ workshop held in Abidjan in August 2019.
