The proposed project will provide solar PV based electricity to around 16,000 rural households (28% of total households) in Vanuatu, leveraging from the Vanuatu Rural Electrification Project (VREP), National Green Energy Fund (NGEF) and Solar Refrigeration for Vanuatu Rural Tourism Operators Project (SRVRTOP). It aims to accelerate progress towards the achievement of 100% rural electricity access and close to 100% electricity generated from renewable energy resources by 2030.
