Overview
This gender assessment aims to provide an overview of the gender situation in the Republic of Marshall Island (RMI) with a specific focus on the severe threat of water scarcity, identify gender issues that are relevant to the project, and to examine potential gender mainstreaming opportunities. The assessment was based upon available data from studies conducted by the Government of the Marshall Islands, donor agencies and multilateral development banks as well as extensive community consultations as part of the project design process
