Enhancing resilience and adaptive capacity of urban and peri-urban communities to the impact of climate change through urban and peri-urban food systems in Namibia

The AE seeks support from the GCF’s Project Preparation Facility to undertake all necessary technical studies, assessments and develop/formulate a comprehensive Funding Proposal for submission to GCF for its project titled “Enhancing the resilience and adaptive capacity of urban and peri-urban communities to the impact of climate change through urban and peri-urban food systems in Namibia”. This grant will support the development of the following:

  • Detailed Feasibility Study that includes: Stakeholder analysis and Mapping; Stakeholder consultations; Desk review to analyse existing data
  • Undertake eight (8) Specialist studies and assessments:
    • ESS Assessment
    • Gender and Social Safeguard Assessment
    • GIS, topographic mapping and Geospatial planning
    • Prototype design
    • Risk Assessment
    • Legal and regulatory compliance
    • Economic Assessment
    • Funding Proposal for submission to GCF
    • Pre-contract services, including the revision of tender documents
