Thomas Eriksson
Director, Department of the Eastern Europe, Central Asia, and the Middle East Region
Thomas joins GCF from the Council of Europe Development Bank (CEB), where he was the Head of both the Technical and Climate Divisions. He previously led operational policy functions at the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB) and the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD), blended finance functions at the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) and held many roles at the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), including as the Deputy Resident Representative in Mongolia. He has extensive operational experience in countries in Eastern Europe, Central Asia and the Middle East. He has an MBA from the University of Gothenburg.
