Catherine Koffman

Catherine brings more than 20 years’ experience in legal, commercial, and financial sectors, spanning infrastructure investment banking and landmark project finance deals. As the first female Head of Infrastructure Project Finance in a South African commercial bank, she shaped and executed the Group's infrastructure growth strategy. As Group Executive of the Project Preparation Division at the Development Bank of Southern Africa (DBSA), she guided the development of investable projects, execution of regional/ national country platforms, capital raising and structuring of blended finance products to innovate for new markets and asset classes. Catherine also led several strategic objectives at DBSA to develop bankable infrastructure pipelines to ensure sustainable economic growth and resilience to climate change impacts in South Africa and sub-Saharan Africa.
