Partner agreement after Board project approval to benefit Rwandan farmers

GCF has signed an agreement with the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN) to implement a project enhancing the climate resilience of Rwandan farmers only a day after the project’s approval. The GCF Board gave the green light to the Transforming Eastern Province through Adaptation project at its 29th meeting, which concluded on 1 July. The USD 49.6million initiative - which strengthens adaptation and reduces emissions through improved land management - focuses on Rwanda’s Eastern Province, comprising the country’s largest farming area.
