The Green Climate Fund's (GCF) Programming Dialogue with the Pacific region began with opening remarks by Saiyad Hussain, Acting CEO of Fiji Development Bank, who acknowledged the increase in GCF climate action investments in the region since the last dialogue in 2018. The week-long virtual dialogue will focus on moving the project pipeline of the Pacific forward while providing support for Direct Access Entities to strengthen the climate rationale of their projects. Over 120 people from the public sector, GCF National Designated Authorities (NDAs) and Accredited Entities (AEs), and civil society organisations are expected to participate in the regional dialogue.
