GCF Direct Access Entity Technical Climate Workshop for Latin America and the Caribbean
1–4 Dec 2026
- Panama City, Panama
- By invitation only
The Green Climate Fund (GCF) will host the Direct Access Entity Technical Climate Workshop for Latin America and the Caribbean from 1 to 4 December 2026 in Panama City, Panama. The four-day workshop will bring together Direct Access Entities, national Project Specific Accreditation Approach applicants and nominated entities at an advanced stage of accreditation to strengthen climate project design, advance the development of concept notes and funding proposals, and deepen their understanding of GCF requirements and expectations. The programme will combine plenary discussions with interactive breakout sessions and entity-specific clinics focused on concrete projects and proposals, including those targeting submission to the GCF Board in 2027.
The workshop will also explore how Earth Observation can strengthen climate adaptation activities and financing decisions throughout the project cycle. With the participation of the European Space Agency, sessions will present practical examples, methodologies, tools and resources for integrating Earth Observation into project identification, design, monitoring and implementation, including in sectors such as agriculture, disaster resilience, Nature-based Solutions and urban development. Participants will have opportunities to exchange experiences, discuss barriers and opportunities for adoption, and receive focused technical advice on their projects and proposals.
By invitation only.
